time flies...my tiny bundle of joy has become a big fat bundle of joy =) baby claris is 4 months 1 week old now and has started feeding on solids! she loves her food and i've to stocked up jars and jars of heinz carrot+sweet potato puree, corn+pumpkin puree, banana+pear puree and her fav apple juice at home. never knew a tiny baby could have such a big appetite!

nothing much interesting going on in my life...so haven been blogging for constantly. i spent all my time doing only 3 things -- taking care of baby, working and meeting up with friends.

for the 1st role, i bring baby to parties, shopping and enrichment classes (kindermusik class starting this sun).

for the 2nd role, i have to spend more time working as we have down staffed so i need to be at

shop for at least 3 days a week. on top of that i've applied to be a free lance crew with silkair and is awaiting for the next recruitment cos i really wanna make more more more money to give baby the best!

for the 3rd role, i meet up with friends for drinks once a week, usually w jiahua and meiyan and jaren.

i do get an off day all to myself next tues though! intending to go for a much postponed slimming treatment, followed by picking up baby's madpie outfit from OUB centre and shopping for myself before meeting song for coffee then dinner and drinks w the girls.

add on the various other activities such as attending Poi Ching's 90th anniversary dinner (yes, i decided to accept their invitation cos im so kiasu, afraid my baby has no good schools to go to when she turns 7 so i have to maintain good relations with my ex colleagues), spending some time with clive, doing housework etc, i hardly get a chance to sit down and keep my blog up to date. i'll continue to make an effort to maintain it though!

its mon night, baby claris is sleeping next to me while i blog. papa clive has taken leave to take care of baby tmr as i have to attend to some official matters w mom tmr. its his first time taking care of baby himself. i hope he can manage! mom in law says she'll be dropping by to take a look...i hope my home isn't too messy! last sat, she came over to visit baby...and ended up cleaning my toilets while my father in law mopped the floor...its really nice of them..but i felt like a rather inadequate daughter in law...clive says they know im really busy so they just wanna help. im blessed to have such nice in laws.

baby claris made us all laugh earlier. papa clive put her on his shoulders so she could see her reflection in our living room mirror. she doesn't seem to realise the one in the mirror is actually her and 'ah boo ah boo' to the 'baby friend'. next, she 'brrrr' to the 'baby friend'. we suspect she's trying to tease from her 'baby friend' cos she always laugh when papa clive 'brrrr' to her. we were rather taken aback that she could 'brrrr' with her lips after watching papa clive do it to her a few times. clive tells me to be mindful of what we say and how we behave when baby's around cos it seems like shes a pretty fast learner!

had drinks with jiahua, meiyan, jaren and song last fri at ice cold beer to celebrate meiyan's birthday. awesome to be out again. had a shock when i heard from song and jiahua that balaclava has closed down. evidence of how suaku i am nowadays. we planned to go crewroom this fri...not sure if the plan will materialise though. nowadays, i attend more kids parties than partying...brought the little one to julian's 1st birthday bash on sat, bringing her to another julian (angelia's prince) 4th birthday bash this sat and will be bringing her to david's girl baby shower beginning aug....my little baby has a rather packed schedule! busy shopping for birthday presents...and her car seat...actually went to 4 different places - OG, Isetan, Mothercare and robinson to try to get a car seat for her today. as her head is getting steady, it is time to get her own carseat. after checking out all the stores, have decided to get the pink Combi carseat which matches her pram. this carseat is pricer but can sit her from 3mths to 4years. besides, its really the prettiest carseat when compared to the others. the Japanese really make the most beautiful stuff. they combine beauty with functionality. very nice! but the Combi carseat was found at OG, the first stop and baby was getting tired so decided to go home and go back to OG to buy it tmr.

each time i bring baby out, i feel like a superstar. i have met ang mohs (hunks included), fillipinos, mainland chinese, malays, bangadeshes, north indians, babies to grannies and grandpas who came up to talk to me cos of baby. some ask to take pics of her, some ask to carry her, some ask me to wait while they call their friends over to check baby out. what is it abt this small eye fatty that attracts ppl? her rosy chubby cheeks? or her pouty lips? my sis says its her super blur expression. maybe.

tried to sign baby up for kindermusik's infant music and movement class but was told there is a long waiting list....i really really hope to get baby into the class cos she loves music and dancing (kong kong is so disappointed that she is more interested in dancing than reading...he blames me for clubbing too much...my fault??) anyway, told them weekdays classes is fine with me as long as there is a slot for baby. they promise to call me once there is an opening. keeping my fingers crossed!!

 little claris is 3 months old! i tell her she is a big baby now. no more a newborn =) she is going for her 5 in 1 vaccination tmr...i am worried cos many mummies say their babies all came down w fever after the jab. the little one has been cheeky and playful recently. will miss her smile if she does fall sick.

brought baby to the food court today. she is so kpo! the little piggy stared at the food the uncle opposite her was having and started 'talking' to him. i guessed she was asking for some food? her solemn 'aaa gaaa gooo gooo' tickled the middle age uncle so much that he bursted out laughing and said 'what a cute baby BOY!' sigh.......i have to always explain that she is simply a girl with very little hair who looks like a boy.

it is clive's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR! we celebrated claris's 3 months bd w papa clive's 31st bd at airport's swensens on sunday. brought baby for a ride on the skytrain and to see airplanes at the viewing mall and she was really excited. she squealed and waved her arms, falling asleep just before my meal came so i could have a peaceful meal...hehehe..perfect timing, waking up after i finished my food but unfortunately pooing while we were shopping and we couldn't find a nappy room so clive and me got to cooperate in changing her right in front of the tourists.

yst night, me and clive headed into JB for a seaside seafood zi char dinner. it has been so long since we had a meal w just the two of us so it was nice to have some er ren shi jie. we joked and laughed and had a great time. it's nice to be able to have someone to laugh and share everything with. thanks for being my 'bestest friend' dear. 20 years ago we were playing together. today we are working hard together. hopefully 20 years later we will be relaxing together!

bought a bumbo sitter for baby. its clinically developed by doctors to help baby's developing spine and encourage them to sit in the right posture. not sure how true that is but she certainly looks cute sitting in her mini chair!

ever since baby found out how to use her hands to bat at her toys, she is happy to be in her pram when we bring her out. it is so much easier to handle her now cos i can just let her watch you tubes on my phone and she will be quiet! she loves watching moving images and batting at the toys hanging on her pram. notice how she has learnt to rest her feet on her stroller bars? i hope she's not growing into an ah lian!

realise baby is almost always in some type of head gear? cos she looks just like a boy without them! evidence as shown in these pics.

 baby claris is almost 3 months old! brought her back to punggol for the lst time since she left 2 months ago. she was looking around the whole house when we came back this morning. wonder if she remembers this was the place she stayed at when she was very young. baby will be staying overnight here today. its the 1st time she is away from grandma since she was 2 weeks old. hope all goes well! im keeping my fingers crossed cos she seemed rather happy playing with papa clive (who purposely cancelled his roving girls activities tonight to accompany baby) just now. both father and daughter are exhausted and napping now.

introduced baby claris to her 1st playmate a few days back. a mummy whom i got to know on motherhood forum brought her son ki'en (2 months old) to visit me and claris at changi. we joked that ki'en would be claris's first bf but she seems more interested in drinking her milk than playing with him. its nice to meet more people though cos we can share experiences and gain more knowledge.

chris went parkway to look for me yst and passed me some stuff for baby. thanks dear! he said the last we met was at my wedding? has it really been so long since i met up with him? time flies when one is busy. i shd spend more time catching up w frens.

spent the past few days organising baby's photos. i have hundreds of pictures taken since she was born. developed abt 400+ pieces of them, going to place them in a nice photo album as a present for mom in law.

baby has also been attending 'classes' conducted by grandpa. her first lesson is on fruits. check out baby attentively studying the pictures.

 the world is actually very small. singapore is smaller. never knew that my old fren, Haree is actually clive's biz associate till i saw haree's facebook mobile post on livefeed a few days back and realise he and clive were at the same place. checked with clive and realised they had meals and drinking sessions before. small world.

on the other hand, if i say the world is so small, some people seems to think that the world is too big. Was chatting with first officer Ray on facebook yst when he asked me 'how come i havent seen you on my flights for so long?' my reply --- 'you mean you never realise i left 3 years ago?' his rebuke 'the airline is so big, sometimes i dun fly with a person for years' hmmm...i think it all boils down to fate. would you agree that when you're fated with a person, you'll bump into him no matter where you go but when you're not fated, you won't see him no matter how hard you try to.

anyway, on a happy note, i've lost 2kgs in 1 week, 2 slimming sessions! just a wee bit more to go before im back to my pre-pregnancy weight! yeah! have told jaren im not going drinking till i lost all my weight so that he won't have any chance to tease me for not having anything nice and sexy to wear.

we celebrated father's day last weekend with dim sum lunch at teochew city. the food was wonderful and we brought baby shopping at robinson after that.

also visited sis's new place at strata yst with the contractor. its a very nice place with a wonderful view. we could see MBS and tiny ships from the bedroom and living room. its very near to united square so grandpa says he will bring baby to swim then have ice cream and shopping at toy'r'us every week =) baby loves water, but as she's still too young to swim, grandpa bought a inflatable waddling pool for baby. we're going to play with it in the garden this weekend!

my dad really dotes on baby. during dinner today he told me he visited the library this morning and asked the librarian how he can borrow books. he borrowed 6 kiddy books for baby. grandpa has digged up my old children books and been reading to baby before her bedtime. baby loves it and would actually 'ooo' and 'aaa' in reply to grandpa.

dressed up in matching purple tees with baby during our visit to mom's shop. papa clive jokes that baby is the youngest staff of our boutique cos our staff's uniform is the exact shade of purple as baby's tee. check out her matching leggings and socks...papa clive says her clothes are very 'gei yan'...hahaha...cos mama sheryl likes to buy cute clothes for her! love her cupcake singlet too, i think it makes her look very 'fit'! =)

brought baby to visit aunty sharon at london weight during my first slimming session...of course i had to dress baby up in london's trademark red colour too!
